Lady Bandits Select Softball PROGRAM INFORMATION
What is Select Softball?
The Tri-Cites Select Softball program is for softball players who strive for more competition than what is offered in a recreational program. This program is for experienced players who can dedicate time for weekly practices and weekend tournaments. The teams in this program will participate in Select Tournaments within the DFW area.
How does this program work and why is it different from recreational softball?
Lady Bandits teams will not have weekly games and/nor play in the recreational division for Tri-Cities. These teams and players are also not eligible for All-Star Tournaments. Teams will practice at Chisholm softball fields and may have scrimmages there. Lady Bandits teams will attend 3-5 tournaments a season. All tournaments will be in the DFW area. Each tournament will be picked by the Softball VP and/or Coaches. Dates vary each season for tournaments, but parents and players will be notified of tournament dates as soon as they are picked. Families need to be aware that the cost for the Lady Bandits program can be around $300 or more per season. Players will still need to register at TCbaseball.com for the initial registration, the fee which will cover uniform, insurance cost and tournament fees will need to be paid to the head coach.
What is NOT included in registration fee:
-Travel costs to and from tournaments.
-Food, drinks, or personal items needed for practices and tournaments.
-No personal equipment will be provided for players. (Catcher’s gear will be available to borrow for the season, but it belongs to TCBSA and must be returned.)
Other Important Info.
*If a player does not make the Lady Bandits team, she is eligible to be on a TCBSA recreation team.
*Coaches do not get paid for their service, we are a volunteer organization.
*All coaches, parents, and players will be held accountable to follow the TCBSA Code of Conduct during practices and tournaments. Anyone who does not follow the code of conduct can be asked to leave TCBSA and will not receive a refund for any fees that were paid up to that time.
